Håkan Åström, Med. Dr. h.c.
Chairman

Dr. Åström is a board member of  Karolinska Institutet (Vice Chairman), Ferrosan AS (Chairman), Orexo AB (Chairman), SANOS AS (Chairman), and Topotarget AS (Chairman). Dr. Åström was formerly CEO of Kabi Pharmacia and Senior Vice President of Pharmacia Corporation. Håkan Åström was appointed to Affibody’s Board of Directors in 2007.

 



 

Mathias Uhlén, Ph.D.
Deputy Chairman


Prof. Uhlén is a co-founder of Affibody AB, and Professor of Biotechnology at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He is a Program Director of the Swedish Human Protein (HPA) program, funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation, and a Board member of Atlas Antibodies AB, Biotage AB, KTH Holding AB, Nordiag AS, Novozymes AS, Skanditek AB and SweTree Technologies AB. Prof. Uhlén was appointed to Affibody’s Board of Directors in 1998.



 

Björn Odlander, M.D., Ph.D.
Director

Dr. Odlander is President of Odlander, Fredrikson & Co., and founding partner of HealthCap. He joined Affibody's Board of Directors in 2000 and currently serves on the Boards of Bonesupport AB, Cardoz AB and LTB4 AB.

Jonathan Knowles, Prof., Ph.D.
Director
 

Jonathan Knowles is currently professor of translational medicine at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, a distinguished professorship in personalized health care at the Finnish Institute for Molecular Medicine at the University of Helsinki, and visiting chair at the University of Oxford. He also serves on the board of a number of biotech companies including Caris Life Sciences. In his most recent executive role he was president of group research at Roche and member of Roche’s Corporate Executive Committee. Dr Knowles was also a member of the Genentech Board for 12 years and a member of the Chugai Board for seven years.

 

 

Jakob Lindberg, Med. Lic.
Director


Jakob Lindberg is CEO of Oncopeptides AB and Venture Partner at Investor Growth Capital Europe. Mr. Lindberg holds a Med. Lic. in Molecular Immunology a MSc in pre-clinical medicine from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and a BA in Finance and Administration from the Stockholm University. He started his career as an analyst with Merrill Lynch in London and moved to consultancy with McKinsey in Stockholm, followed by a period in Gothenburg as CEO and co-founder of Cellectricon AB.
