Affibody to Present at CHI's 10th Annual PepTalk in San Diego

Affibody AB will give a presentation titled “Engineering of the Albumin Binding Domain (ABD) for Half-life Extension Applications” at CHI's 10th Annual PepTalk 2011, taking place January 10-14, 2011 in San Diego, California.

Ass. Prof Fredrik Frejd will present results on the engineering of the Albumod™ platform. The presentation will be made at 7:30am – 8:15am on Thursday January 13 in the track: “Antibodies for the 21st Century”.

About the Albumod™ platform
Affibody’s Albumod™ technology is designed to enhance the efficacy of biopharmaceuticals by extending their circulatory half-life, potentially allowing for less frequent dosing and lower peak concentrations in blood with a decreased risk for adverse events. Furthermore, the Albumod™ technology may potentially be used to evade an immune response. In addition to these possible patient safety benefits, the overall treatment costs may be reduced.
